Grumman Memorial Park Board
The marble brick program continues
to move forward and presently 932 bricks have been sold. Our thanks to the
Houston Texas Chapter (retirees) for their efforts in starting a fund to
purchase a Grumman Memorial Park
Bench. The Grumman spirit is alive and well.
A management contract requested by the Riverhead Town Board is under review and is expected to be approved and signed off by the end of Sept.
The F14 aircraft stand and foundation has been approved by the required licensed professional engineer.
The NYS dept. of Transportation is expected to approve a curb cut on Route 25 providing we add a turning lane into the Memorial Park site.
Our F14 at Calverton is undergoing work to make it capable of long term permanent outdoor display on a rigid platform. Some of the work includes closure of various openings to preclude bug, bird or animal entrance.
We are requesting volunteers to help our overall project. Please call (516-731-7406) or email me (advsys4@hoflink.com) and indicate your possible area of expertise.

The site has been moved to a new server to be able to complete the behind-the-scenes programming for the Walk of Honor and Old Friends Directory. Please visit the site often as we continue to add more photos and information. Let everyone know about the site so they can sign up for the newsletter, relive some memories and buy a brick for the Walk of Honor.
